In 2007 in Mountain View, CA I organized the largest single-city group purchase of solar. 119 families participated. I then joined SolarCity where I ran 20 community programs throughout California, resulting in 600+ solar installations and $12 million of revenue in less than a year. I then joined SolarCity's SolarLease team and helped introduce residential solar leasing.
In 2008 I chaired the Mayor's Environmental Sustainability Task Force for the city of Mountain View.
In the summer of 2009 I joined Sungevity in Berkeley as a solar telesales consultant. Later that year I joined Skyline Solar in Mountain View as Marketing Operations Manager.
My wife and I cut our carbon footprint by 55% between 2006 - 2009. It's now 6 tons per year for each of us (counting flying, driving, home heating and electricity). We hope to achieve substantial additional reductions in the next few years.
